Gentrification

Gentrification within western world which is prevalent in London is a caused by selling out to richer buyer for cheaper meaning displacing communities that have founded and built there own safe space. Which is same all over the world, however Hawaii is really stood out to me in terms of how different the gentrification is for native islanders as they have rich history with the islands that they have been protecting. The article ‘Hawaii Is a Paradise, but Whose?’ (1) highlights,

Our history on how we treat the earth (brief)

The history of human colonization for resources is very extensive and complex in every aspect, but there are still continuing now but less than before when western explorers would exploit the resources from small countries or less economic stable countries. However, the impact from prolonged taking earth resources have effected the animals, humans and the earth. “Humans impact the physical environment in many ways: overpopulation, pollution, burning fossil fuels, and deforestation. Changes like these have triggered climate change, soil erosion, poor air quality, and undrinkable water.” (2)
