Week 25: Critical Practice
Shader Fixes / VFX Particles / Particles
After finishing the 3D models last week, I continued to finish any other incomplete bits mainly:
- Fix ray casting shader
- Updating post-processing
- Complete VFX Particles
- Complete smoke particles
I was able to fix the ray casting in my VR but having trouble implementing it onto the shared project, below is video of how it would look like in VR. In terms of the post-processing, I utilised its functionality to differentiate from one part of the story to the next to give the player visual ques, especially when IO is speaking to them so I used post- processing to turn the environment blue as it was the most contrasting colour compared to the original IO Planet which has a yellow-orange tone.
